Fishing Report: Colorado River waters
The rainbow trout bite is doing well here on the Colorado River below Davis Dam. This time of year it seems that spinners and PowerBait are working the best. Our local anglers Mike Merritt and our newest now local angler Mike Selby (above) were fishing from shore in the Rotary Park are using mice tails and PowerBait to land their limit of trout. A reminder it’s a bag limit of 5 rainbows below Davis Dam along the Colorado River. The striper bite has slowed a bit.
Rotary Park and the nature center have been doing OK for both stripers and our trout. Both of these areas are great to visit this time of year and your chances are pretty good to land a fish. Hope this helps for now and we look forward to seeing you in with that catch to share.
Lake Mohave
Up on Lake Mohave, the coves near the power lines were producing a few while the coves near the dam had slowed a bit. Not much word on the smallmouth or largemouth bass and no word from the marsh. I did hear of some striper action near the casinos and above the bridge.
Thanks for your support.
Now go catch a fish.
