Fishing Report: Alamo Lake
Well folks, it’s been a long time since I have had a chance to write to you. So, here’s the deal. The lake has come up a total of 12 feet so far this year. As I write this the snow melt is bringing it up about 4 to 6 inches a day. My guess it will top out about 1,116 or so. What this means is that all ramps are open.
The lake still has a nice chocolate color to it but is trying to clear up. Lots of logs and stuff floating around. To get to the point: bass fishing is very slow. Crappie fishing isn’t much better. Most anglers are getting skunked. Some are catching 2 to 4 a day.
Now, give it a couple of weeks and this lake is going to go nuts — if the temp’s stay in the 80s. Make sure and make your reservations or call our call center (520-586-2283).
Catfishing is slow. Shore fishing is terrible. That’s it for a quick report. With a little luck I can get back into writing a weekly report. I miss doing them. That’s all I got.
