On Friday, Nov. 8, the Arizona Crappie Association (AZCA) presented a “thank you” plaque to Arizona Game and Fish Department Mesa-region staff members Curt Gill and Amberle Jones.
AZCA President Matt Rokusek and several club officers presented the plaque on behalf of the club and Arizona crappie fishermen statewide.
Said Rokusek: “Curt and his staff have put in so much time and effort to improve the crappie populations and fishing at Roosevelt and Bartlett lakes with new artificial habitat built and installed at both lakes, and have done some limited stockings of black crappie in both lakes. We just wanted to thank and recognize them for their efforts.”
