Striper Fishing at Lake Pleasant
Lake Pleasant Fishing Report Nov 5th from Mike Strole “The Fish Whisperer”, from AZ Great Adventure Fishing, Fishing Guide Service.
The Lake is rising due to the CAP water being pumped into the lake. Water temperatures are in the low 70’s. The lake has experienced a bit of an algae bloom due to the warm temperatures experienced over the past two weeks. We have been successful in catching both size and numbers using live shad and cut anchovies on drop shot rigs fished during the day and under the lights. We have also been successful catching Stripers on Spoons yo yo Jigging in the afternoon and trolling them during the early morning hours. Swimbaits have also proven effective on fish feeding on the surface and trolling for fish in the 5 to 25 foot range. Fishing at night under the lights with live shad and cut anchovies has also been effective.
