Flagstaff/Williams Fishing Report 8/24/16
CITY RESERVOIR — Folks were still catching Catfish on the lake using “anything smelly” according to our Wildlife Manager. The lake was stocked with 1,000 Rainbow Trout last week
DOGTOWN LAKE — Dogtown was stocked with about 13,000 Rainbow Trout last week. I would try garlic powerbait or lures for trout. Try the North shore line with worms under a bobber for Crappie and Bluegill.
SANTA FE — Folks are doing well catching Yellow Perch and Crappie on jigs, mealworms or worms that were fished 1-3 feet under a bobber on the shallow end. Trout were also being caught.
WHITEHORSE LAKE — Folks are still catching Crappie on white jigs and mealworms.
KINNIKINICK LAKE —As of 8/23/16 we have stocked about 35,000 Rainbow Trout in Kinnikinick in the last 3 weeks. These freshly stocked fish will be easier to catch on spinners, small spoons and flies than on powerbait as they adapt to being in the lake.
OAK CREEK — Oak Creek was stocked last week and this week. About 1,500 fish were stocked each week.
