Professional Arizona Fishing Guide, Mike Strole, “The Fish Whisperer”: The Briars caught these beautiful stripers, this morning (Sept. 27) on a modified dropshot rig using cut anchovies and throwing top-water baits into the boils on Lake Pleasant.
The boils are the result of cooler surface water resulting from the Colorado River water being pumped in and cooler night time temps, and should continue to improve as the surface water continues to cool. The continuation of pumping Colorado River water, it’s cooling effect and the rising water levels, should result in excellent fishing as you see by the quality of the fish we’re boating.
