Fishing Report: Lake Havasu and a 4.42-pound redear sunfish
Lake Havasu Fishing Report
Lake Level: 447.30
Stripers are chasing shad around the north winsor basin in the early morning and late afternoon hours. Look for birds diving on the schools of shad coming to the surface. Storm Chug Bugs, Sassy Shads & Rat-L- Traps have been catching the best stripers.
Largemouth bass are hitting good on creezy days using white or chartreuse colored spinnerbaits or shad colored Rat-L-Traps traps. Deep-diving craw-colored crankbaits (8-15 feet) are working good around rocks or gravel/rock shorlines for smallmouth where they are chasing crawdads.
Some large (over 2-pound) are redear being caught in deeper water (10-feet plus) with live nightcrawlers.
