Excellent fishing continues at Kinnikinick Lake And Dogtown Lake.
With the cool weather we are experiencing fishing for trout is excellent in the Flagstaff and Williams area. I have had report of excellent fishing from Kinnikinick Lake, Dogtown Lake and Frances Short Pond
KINNIKINICK LAKE —According to a couple of anglers I talked to yesterday fishing at Kinnikinick is excellent. One was on the lake Nov. 1st and caught Rainbow Trout and Brown trout all over the lake on bead headed flies and spinners. The other fished the lake yesterday morning and caught 20 trout in 3 hours right near the boat ramp even with the wind blowing in his face. He started out fly fishing using a brown wooly bugger then when wind came up he switched to spinning gear and caught fish on spinners fished slow. He said he caught both Rainbows and Browns.
DOGTOWN LAKE — Folks are catching Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout on lures and flies all around the lake. Bait fishermen are also doing well using powerbait on the bottom or worms under a bobber. Some really nice fish are being caught.
FRANCIS SHORT POND – Worms were working this past weekend along with garlic powerbait. Folks using flies and lures have also been catching trout
