Angler Report: Lower Lake Mary
Jim N. Jr. reported that trout fishing was good at Lower Lake Mary, located about 15 miles south of Flagstaff. Some 14 to 18-inch rainbow trout were stocked recently. He was catching rainbows on Berkley power balls using from one to three different color power balls floated up 24 about inches. He also used the worm blower to float up nightcrawler chunks. Many fly rod anglers showed up for the rainbows and the northern pike that were chasing minnows. The fly fishers were catching northern pike on wooly bugger flies and catching rainbows on princes. Be sure to use a heavy leader on your fly rod tipper for northern pike.
