Alert: Apache-Sitgreaves seasonal campground closures in effect

The seasonal closures for campgrounds on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests have taken place on most of the forests districts. On the Clifton Ranger District, all campgrounds remain open year-round.
On the Alpine Ranger District, Luna Lake and Horse Springs campgrounds have closed as of Oct. 15, 2018. The remaining campgrounds will be available for camping with limited services, no potable water, and no garbage removal. If you intend to use any of the open campgrounds, bring your own water, and “pack it in – pack it out”.
All of Black Mesa Ranger District campgrounds will be closing as of October 31, 2018. Forest Road 300 will remain open as weather permits.
Lakeside Ranger District campgrounds are all currently closed as of October 1, 2018. Los Burros campground with no services is open to self-contained campers and motor homes only.
The Springerville Ranger District campgrounds will discontinue all services and most will be closed by Nov. 01, 2018. Grayling, Brookchar, and Gabaldon campgrounds will remain open with no services, bring your own water, and “pack it in- pack it out” if you plan on staying at these campgrounds.
