This week we stocked 28,408 black crappie split between Roosevelt Lake and Bartlett Lake. Past stockings have shown these black crappie stockers grow fast (roughly 3 inches in 7 months). Special thanks to the anglers that helped stock the fish around the lake!

John S. got his catch of the week at Bartlett Lake on April 23, north end of the lake near the upstream buoys. It was caught on a watermelon color plastic work. Weighed in at 4 pounds and measured 20 1/4 inches.

Dave L. reports he went out on March 21 and the lake is back to normal shoreline. Over the course of five hours, he caught these bluegill about 10 to 15 feet out and about 3 to 4 feet deep using worms and mealworms on a bobber.
